Home Learning

Home learning begins with reading and becomes more structured as the children become older. By the time children are in Key Stage Two, suggested home learning is on the reverse of the classroom's Learning at Laxey page (this is sent home each term on found here).

Reading at home is essential so please set time aside to read with your child, particularly when they are in KS1 or reception classes. Ten minutes is enough!

Every Key Stage One and Lower Key Stage Two child will be given a reading diary and it is really helpful if you let us know when your child has read with you at home by filling this in.

Opportunities to extend learning at home

The KS2 students have the opportunity to use their Google Drive at home to either collaborate on or publish work.

As outlined by the e-Safety policy, the children are responsible for keeping their usernames and passwords private. Please refer to the Policies page for further details on this.
